8. NATIONWIDE OFFICES COVERAGE/ MULTIPLE CREW CAPACITY VALIDATION
The company you choose must be of substantial size and capacity to handle your specific needs without unexpected delays, including multiple crews & equipment. Hiring a professional lead reclamation company with enough size to be able to carry multiple crews at all times is very important. This separates the quality-level of the smaller firms that may not be able to afford this level of support staff and crews to meet your needs. This is important to you because it ensures project completion to your firing range. Carrying multiple crews is a clue to determine the company’s ability to successfully handle weather delays, equipment breakdowns or worker-issues. These factors play a critical role in on-schedule project completion. MT2 has 10 offices across the country and has successfully completed projects in all 50 states.
MT2 is committed to excellence, investing over $5,000,000 in developing proven and proprietary lead bullet recovery systems for use in our indoor and outdoor projects. MT2 owns and operates the largest nationwide fleet of specialty equipment available by any contractor for excavating, handling, separating and processing soil and firing range materials. MT2 owns and operates numerous soil screening units, separation systems, and finishing systems to select from based on specific project needs.
PROOF: Require documentation listing each office location and point of contact for each, and equipment listing.
9. PROJECT HISTORY VALIDATION
Don’t be fooled like other ranges who contact MT2 mid-way through their project after hiring their local friend or contractor with little experience. They found out too late that there are special processes, planning, knowledge, techniques and equipment needed to properly and efficiently complete your project.
MT2 is asked to pick up half-completed projects when less experienced contractors could not complete it. This ends up costing the range up to double. Don’t waste your time or money only considering the lowest bid price – you must factor in Best Value!
Minimum recommended contractor experience is 5 years (preferably 10 years) of continuous operating history with a minimum 20 ranges successfully completed each year for 5 years in a row.
PROOF: Require reference letters from prior projects, local and regional similar project references.
10. HIGHER PURPOSE VALIDATION
The Firing Range Contractor you select should have a higher purpose more than just landing the job. They should support the industry and gives back monetarily to the community and firing range/law enforcement organizations. MT2 financially supports local communities we do work in and can document over $50,000 annually and in excess of $500,000 over the last 10 years to Law Enforcement and Military organizations including: Wounded Warrior Project, C.O.P.S. Fraternal Order of Police, Officer Down Memorial Page, Toys for Tots and others.
MT2 strongly encourages our range friends and shooting community to join us in financially supporting these organizations who protect and serve our communities and support our industry including NRA and NSSF!
